Application Form
- Scholars are asked to formulate a primary (A) and a secondary (B) research/study plan.
- Provide a clear and thoughtful description of what you want to do, why you want to do it, and your expected learning outcomes.
- Why two plans? If your primary plan involves acceptance into a program and you are not chosen, then your research/study plan B will be activated.

- Proof-read. At this award level, it is expected that the applicant is making a significant effort and that the submitted research/study plans are at a high standard.
- Please make sure you upload all required material in the online submission.
Online Submission
In addition to uploading your application form, transcript copy, and W9 form, you are also asked to confirm/agree to specific requirements – such as confirming parental/guardian approval for proposals involving travel outside of Maryland (national and international).
